A DOT physical (or Commercial Driver Medical Examination) is a mandatory medical evaluation required for commercial drivers in the United States.

This physical is designed to assess a driver's physical and mental fitness to operate commercial motor vehicles safely, ensuring they meet specific health standards outlined by the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration). During the examination, our certified medical examiner will review the driver's health, including vision, hearing, blood pressure, and overall physical condition, to determine their eligibility to maintain a commercial driver's license.

PREPARE FOR YOUR PHYSICAL

First, to prepare for a DOT physical or Commercial Driver Medical Examination, gather all necessary documents and forms, including your driver's license, medical history, and any required prescription medications. Please note that per FMCSA guidelines, we require drivers to provide documentation on any chronic health conditions or testing from their primary or specialist providers prior to their DOT physical.
